Long-Awaited Good Voice

Qu Wanting (曲婉婷), a name to remember – China-born, Vancouver-based singer/songwriter Wanting makes heartfelt and melodic adult alternative pop. The first hit song that brings her to the first peak of her career is You Exist in my Song (我的歌聲裡). Following the voice-appearance in the Hong Kong movie soundtrack, Love in the Buff (春嬌與志明) with another hit – Drenched, have truly garnered more attention on her singing career since then.

Wanting was born in 1983 in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province, China. I was first impressed by her magnetic vocal from the YouTube posted on Facebook with the song, You Exist in my Song (我的歌聲裡), and the way she enjoys the piano playing in the music video drives me away.

I fell for her voice instantly

It’s not easy to find a recognizable vocal of a female singer in today’s Chinese music industry. Not only her voice has high degree of recognition, Wanting has talent in writing songs, too. All songs in her latest album – Everything in the World are composed by her, including the lyrics. Impressive.

Her album is available for purchase in Malaysia now and also on iTunes. Let me know do you like her voice?
